Past me really would just not accept that Yuri was unfixable at this point, huh? He's still usable, sure, but I could be filling his slot with someone who could do much more—like Balthus, for instance.

Ladislava's got +9 Str and Spd behind her thanks to Maddening buffs. More worrisome is the +8 Res, making her much harder to one or two-round with magic.

Stride cures all awkward-deployment-spot-related woes.








That was a nice distraction.

I got around to putting Uncanny Blow onto Constance, giving her either 100 Hit or close to it on most enemies.

100 Hit Boltings are very nice.

You can stand there, Dimitri.

This is far from the last time that Constance will have just enough damage to one-shot an enemy with Bolting, thanks to the Charm bonus from Dimitri.

I love Constance so much.

Turns out you can compensate for low damage by just having super high Crit.



Paladins will spawn every other turn, starting on turn 1, from the western part of the map.

The fortress reinforcements also start spawning in, now that we're approaching the fortress. They'll spawn in every turn until we kill all the enemies near the fortress.

Dedue... You're alive... How?!
We can discuss it later. For now, allow me to join your forces.
So. If you finished Dedue's paralogue in Part 1, he will permanently rejoin your army at the start of the turn 2 player phase. If you didn't...well, nothing would happen here. Dedue would be gone for good.

He's been auto-leveled in whatever class he was in before the end of Part 1, much like everyone else was.

Upon confirming this battle...

This killer bow archer spawns in on the ballista. On lower difficulties, he spawns in during the enemy phase after you've started attacking the fortress. On Maddening, he spawns in as soon as you start.

It's over!


These poor guys guarding the fortress don't really stand a chance.


Especially not when I can call down the wrath of the heavens on them.

Let's just get rid of the ballista guy before he can do anything.

For whatever reason, unlike most reinforcements on Maddening, Acheron and his goons can't act on their spawn turn.

I kind of wonder if Acheron and his supporting units don't act on their spawn turn because there's way too many of them, and not enough space to safely spawn them in without being practically guaranteed to lose someone.

Dedue did get auto-leveled, but sadly I picked the entirely wrong class for him to be auto-leveled in. He's got less Str than Bernadetta, and only "okay" Def.

Let's take this opportunity to wipe out the harder-to-reach cavalier south of the fortress. With his death, the reinforcements are stopped.

Seriously, compare Dimitri and Dedue. It's not even a contest who's better, Dimitri literally does Dedue's job better than Dedue can.

Probably doesn't help that Dedue doesn't have a battalion right now.

Dedue moves forward to block an off-screen cavalier from being able to attack Leonie.

Ferdinand has several changes on Maddening, besides the stat buffs. Not only does he have Lance Prowess Lv5 instead of Lv3...

Swordbreaker+: Grants Hit/Avo +30 when using a lance against sword users.
Weight -3: Reduces total equipment weight by 3.

He's got the standard Maddening enemy paladin skills. His equipment also underwent a big change: instead of having a silver lance and a javelin, plus a master seal one could steal, Ferdinand's inventory consists solely of a killer lance.


Thanks for making your way here. Annihilate the enemy with the rest of them!

Lorenz! Here you are. I am heading south, so I will leave this area to you.
Lorenz and his group also spawn in after engaging in combat with Ferdinand. Like Acheron's forces, they cannot act on their spawn turn.

Lorenz's inventory is unchanged from lower difficulties, but like Ferdinand, he has Swordbreaker+ and Weight -3 on Maddening, as well as an upgraded Lance Prowess.







Rattle them all.

Instead of "effective against all units" being programmed like "unit, regardless of classification, takes effective damage," it's programmed like "check every possible form of effective damage." Since Ladislava's only classified as a flying unit, and she has a Lampos shield, which nullifies effective damage against fliers, she doesn't take bonus damage from Atrocity.
