Then we divide up our soldiers and infiltrate nearby areas of the capital right under the Empire's nose. Finally, we gather all of those soldiers somewhere we can get to swiftly from Garreg Mach and proceed to invade Enbarr.

This reminds me, by the way, fun fact, what we did to get into Fort Merceus? Disguising ourselves as Imperials? That might've probably counted as a war crime in our modern laws of war. Perfidy or something. I'm no expert on what is and isn't a war crime, but a quick look at Wikipedia (yeah, yeah, shut up) shows that, at the very least, we came dangerously close to it—I'm assuming, in-universe, the Resistance Army didn't keep their fake Imperial outfits on while fighting in Fort Merceus. Fighting while in the opposing force's uniforms seems like the part that'd count as a war crime, but again, I just looked this up on Wikipedia. I'm a programmer, not a war crimes expert.

What would you like to see happen?
My hope is for a world at peace. A world in which this present turmoil is a thing of the past—the stuff of legends. I believe those who survive the atrocities of war have a duty to create a new, better world.

We'll meet her for sure.
I just gotta believe Lady Rhea is waiting for us in the capital... We just have to find her.

I love the Empire. Part of me wants it to survive. But I know that is not reasonable. The Empire's time has come. What we need now is a mighty leader who can rebuild Fódlan and rule it as a single nation.
Nonetheless, it saddens me that we will not have an Adrestian emperor...

If Seiros were alive today, I wonder what she might make of our war... In Enbarr, there was once a Southern Church, and apparently a bishop was dispatched to it. A hundred years ago, the Southern Church became entangled in an insurrection. Until five years ago, the Empire and the church maintained a certain distance from one another.
95 years of distance is a long period of time for an empire built by Saint Seiros, going by the fact that the Adrestian royal family places pride on their Crests of Seiros enough to put it on their coat of arms.

We're past the point where much of anything I do with my activity points is significant, so I'll only be posting exploration actions if they're significant from now on.

Is that our first rank S on a skill? I think it is.

Bow Crit +10: Grants Crit +10 when using a bow.

10 Crit might not sound like a lot, but it factors out to a 20% overall damage increase. Or, put another way, you get an extra 10% tacked onto your chance to instantly kill whatever you're targeting.

Moving onto next week...

...??? What was I thinking here?

And now moving swiftly onto the week after.

Abraxas: 1-2 range. 14 Mt, 90 Hit, 5 Crit, 13 Wt, 2 durability.

Abraxas is powerful and accurate. Too bad it's white magic, though, since abilities that would augment it (faith prowess, White Magic Range +1, White Tomefaire) are infinitely less valuable than their black/dark magic counterparts.

I realized we had a few stat boosters in storage, so I distributed them.

I bought out the last of Anna's stock of stat boosters, and also distributed those.

Moving on, I think I'm gonna have Lysithea try out this whole valkyrie thing.

Valkyrie is one of the four special classes added by the fourth wave of DLC for Three Houses. It requires an Abyssian exam pass to activate, requires Reason B and Riding B to attain a 100% exam pass chance on, and is locked to women units only.

Its growth boosts are...pretty bad, to be honest, though that's par for the course with magic classes. +5% HP, +5% Mag, -5% Spd, +5% Lck, +5% Def, +10% Res, +10% Cha. It does have the courtesy to provide a pretty big +4 Mag boost while the unit is in the class, which is only matched by Dark Bishop and Gremory. Being a mounted class, it also comes with the standard +2 Mv while mounted—however, it does not have any additional Mv as a base, meaning units have 6 Mv while in Valkyrie, the lowest of any mounted class.

However, 6 Mv doesn't tell the entire story, since...well, let's look at its class abilities.

Canto: Allows unit to move again after completing certain actions, if there is movement remaining.
Black Magic Range +1: Increases black magic range by 1.
Dark Magic Range +1: Increases dark magic range by 1.

Yep, Valkyrie gives +1 range to black and dark magic innately, compensating for its lower Mv. Upon mastery, it also gives the following ability:

Uncanny Blow: If unit initiates combat, grants Hit +30 during combat.

Black and especially dark magic often tend to fall below 100 Hit, so having +30 Hit when initiating combat—which is what magic units should almost always be doing—is very useful.

Valkyrie isn't a perfect fit for every female magic user—units who focus more on healing support, such as Mercedes and Marianne, really want White Magic Uses x2 above all else—but I think it's a perfectly fine fit for Lysithea and Hapi, who we will meet when we do Cindered Shadows. On Normal and Hard, it's fine as an endgame class, but on Maddening I think I'd really prefer either Gremory or Dark Knight for either getting more uses of powerful magic (especially important on Constance who, again, we will see before long) or getting Black/Dark Tomefaire.

And to end the month, I have Lysithea give a seminar.

On the day of the mission, I have Linhardt class into...Dark Knight?

This is a really odd choice, looking back on it. I guess it's fine on Hard, but after playing Maddening I honestly believe Linhardt is best kept in Bishop even at endgame. You just can't pass up those extra uses of Physic and Warp, not to mention the flat +10 to all healing.

...Oh, right, I haven't talked about Dark Knight yet! Dark Knight is a mounted class that can use magic. It has the following class abilities:

Canto: Allows unit to move again after completing certain actions, if there is movement remaining.
Black Tomefaire: Grants Atk +5 when using black magic.
Dark Tomefaire: Grants Atk +5 when using dark magic.

Upon mastery, it gives:

Seal Resistance: If unit damages foe during combat, foe suffers Res -6 for 1 turn after combat.

Notable is the fact that Dark Knight is the only class that gives Dark Tomefaire. It's a good general fit for Hubert and Annette, and can be useful for Lysithea if you prefer raw damage over having more charges of Luna Λ, Dark Spikes Τ, and Hades Ω. Sylvain and Lorenz can also make good dark knights if their Mag has turned out, although do keep in mind that you're trading Lancefaire/Axefaire for Tomefaire in that case. However, it's a really poor fit for Dorothea (Riding weakness and makes her lose that precious extra charge of Meteor compared to Gremory) and Constance (you really want the extra two charges of That One Spell, trust me).

Much less ambiguous is my choice to put Seteth in Wyvern Lord.

Also, hell with it, this update's pretty short so far now that I've decided to cut down on how much of the monastery I show, so let's just do the mission.
