Update 42: Guild Tenebris vs. The Seven Collected Dragon Balls (Storm Emperor)

Vince?
Eh? What's up, Elowen?
I wanted to ask for a lesson.
...From me.
Yes. It's something only you would know.
Well, uh... Lay it on me, I guess.
Afon told me that you made a fish breakfast when we were camping in the 2nd Stratum, yes?
Oh, right, yeah.
She also mentioned that you somehow managed to fit an incredible amount of fish in the pot.
...Incredible?
She described it as, "By all known laws of physics, that amount of fish shouldn't have been able to fit in that pot. And yet, Clanky did it."

Direct quote.
Uh... Well, go grab a shield, and I'll start the lesson... I guess... Physics-defying...?

Who's up for roasting a dragon to death?

And also cutting it, I guess. Bashing it, too.
Preparing a meal like this takes a lot of preparation, silly.

Yep. That is, one-hundred-percent, a dragon.
It...looks kinda doofy.
Please don't focus on that when it's capable of killing us with a sneeze.

Yellow.

The bursts of electricity traveling up and down its body can short out even the strongest fighting spirit. The Storm Emperor stands before you. It raises its head and roars in challenge. There is still time to escape, but if you would do battle with this great beast, step forward!

Now then.

How tender and cooked do you guys like your dragon?
Black and charred.
...You eat your meat charred?
You were serious?

So Storm Emperor is a fucking major pain in the ass. All of the dragons are, really. The usual rule of "bring a Wall that can nullify the breaths' damage or die" is in effect, so Vince has Volt Wall at level 5. Judgement hits everyone, and is probably gonna paralyze, so that's really fun. Corrupting Howl also makes it really hard to prepare for the upcoming Volt Torrent, especially since there's no Barrier in this game! Fuck! I hate this!
Now here's where the postgame starts to kick you while you're down. Dragon is as ruthless as ever in this incarnation-- extremely powerful attacks across the board, party lockdown, buff dispels, you name it. Pack a Protector or you will almost certainly get ripped to pieces in short order.
The game gives you a Grimoire with all three Walls at the nullification point in Lost Shinjuku, so at least they were merciful, a little bit. But it still shouldn't have been designed like this. And it certainly shouldn't be using a thing that can make your Volt Wall user get RNG'd out of Volt Wall on the Torrent turn, and it sucks. That's already bad enough, but Binding Dance and Ancient Curse are just plain malicious. It does seriously feel like they designed this thing as if you had Prevent Order from EO3, or Holy Blessing from EO4.

Vince stops the fight from ending on turn 1.

I need to stop Judgement, above all else.

Momoe sets up her Stance, as per usual. Katya also sets up Analysis.
For this recipe, you will need:

·1 adult yellow dragon
·a katana (or other cutting implement)
·a titan-sized oven
·a meat tenderizer
·and your favourite spices!

This dragon's body is deceptively long.
First, tie the dragon to prepare it for a roast. We do not condone enacting this recipe on a living adult yellow dragon, unless it has wronged you, your family, your friends, your village, or the countryside, in which case be mindful that tying a living dragon is far harder than it should be.

Prediction: The best place to hit it is its stupid face.

I fear I'm not that good at this whole "restraining" business.

Behold: a rubber tent!
What.
Just trust me on this.

Bada-- Erm, I mean, there you go.
I think you have the right to say "bada bing" here.
Bada bing!
Just don't make a habit of it again.
Please take care while cutting into the dragon for this step. Its lightning sac might still have some remaining fluid, and it could shock you and kill you instantly if you don't prevent it outright, such as with rubber clothing or a particularly powerful lightningrod.

Now then, shall I get to business?
You'll want a big knife.

!DALLA A very big knife.

Good thing my whip is non-conductive.

Only kinda hurt.

The Oven!
Once you have the meat bound and you've scored it, to ensure the inside will be cooked as well, put it in the oven, pre-heated to 300º.

Bleh, that's an unpleasant tingle.
Please remove the dragon's horns before putting it in the oven. I can't believe we have to tell people to remove the metallic horns before using the oven or microwave on the meat.

I'm going to have to ask that you stop spewing electricity at us.
She's also going to have to muzzle you, in addition to asking.
Yes, that too.
Something tells me one of those is more effective than the other.

Oh, I'm gonna feel that one tomorrow... And the next day... And the next day... And the next day... And--
Are you trying to stall out death or something?
It's work--
It works! Until it doesn't.
Tanking Judgement with Bravery's Gift is, uh, ill-advised.

Thankfully, I don't have to worry about Corrupting Howl.

--ing. Dammit, I almost cheated death by being annoying.

Head binds are one of the best ways to amplify TEC damage, as I've said before.

I think we're gonna be fine.
Once the dragon's meat has begun to change color, remove it for additional preparation. Especially if it's alive. It's gonna have broken out of those ties.

...Shit.
That was Charged too. That hurts so much.

Mgph! Mmmmmph!
...Nnnss.
Hrrrrrngh!
Gods...dammit... How do I hold...my stupid shield...like this?!
Well, this is basically worst case scenario in every way. The only way it could've been worse is if Momoe got her arms bound.

I also don't have any Theriaca As. WHEE.

Really?

At least Vince's arms aren't bound now.

Nngh... I'm just a general practicioner, I shouldn't be up here...
This is fucked, nothing I do's gonna fix this, aaaaaagh!

Wait, no, yes I it will won't agh my tongue!
That was way too close.
Folks, this is why you bring lightning prevention to a yellow dragon recipe. Seriously. This is dangerous meat.

Fuck off, snakey prick!

Momoe!
What, what'd I-- Mph!
...
...
...Wait, wait, the others are--
You act as if we mind you two celebrating a hard-won victory by being affectionate.
What he said!
...Shit, now I gotta pack up the rubber tent. Didn't think that through. Ah, fuck, that's gonna be a pain...
Well, that got a bit dicey with the binds near the end, but I somehow got out fine. Only ate one death, too.
Once you've covered the meat with your favourite spices, scored into it more if necessary, and gotten it to stop wriggling in impotent anger, stick it back in the oven for half an hour or so. Then retrieve, and serve.

Panting for breath, you watch the dragon closely, but it does not move from where it has fallen. You have defeated the Storm Emperor! Now, return to town with your head held high and report your victory at the pub!

Yay.
Ding.

After this, I did another take where I ran into less resistance and got the other drops with Formaldehyde. That's the take that's in the video.

I never thought that the Ankh Motor would summon a terrifying dragon...
Yeah, well, it's not every day where you summon a dragon by putting a thing in a box.
Very descriptive.
Perhaps the Etreant sealed that dragon away because it was so powerful. But then, he hid the keys to break that seal just in case. We found the keys and summoned the dragon... Still, I'm glad I asked you. You were strong enough to defeat even that dragon. I can't say enough about what fine work you've done.

Volt Whip (+185 ATK, cut+volt normal attacks) is made from 1 Barbel (Storm Emperor normal). Costs 144000 en.

Mobius Alb (+74 DEF, +30 TP, +2 TEC; Alchemist only) is made from 1 Thunder Eye (Storm Emperor conditional). Costs 61000 en.
I already have the Heaven to Hell, so the Volt Whip's worthless to me. Even in a casual context, it's really not great.

The Mobius Alb, on the other hand, provides small but useful bonuses to Alchemists. If you're min-maxing TEC with non-body armor parts, it's not great, but it's still serviceable.

I'm not doing that, so I grab one for Katya. Her TEC is so high now, good lord.

Anyway, that's it for now! Next time: we succumb. Because we are things that live.

That sounded a bit less odd in my head.
I'm still working on the zombie thing.
